From Biddulph with Love: A Blockbuster Weekend of Brass!

Saturday Night: Blockbusters and Brass at Biddulph

Following our cinematic-themed concert, Goldfinger and the Silver Screen, at Biddulph Town Hall last Saturday night, the buzz is still electric! Playing to a packed house, the atmosphere was incredible from the very first downbeat.

The audience enjoyed a fantastic programme of movie magic and Bond tunes, opening with the thrilling James Bond Collection and later soaring through the cinematic universe with Star Wars. We were also treated to a brilliant highlight: a special composition of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly theme arranged by our very own Alex Matthews!

Performing on a busy stage on such a hot summer night was no small feat, so a massive thank you goes out to all the players for working so hard, our brilliant front of house team, and the entire crew for organising such a seamless event. Special credit also goes to our MD for a truly brilliant delivery that kept both the band and the audience thoroughly captivated throughout the night.

Sunday Afternoon: Straight to Congleton Bandstand!

There is no rest for the wicked, or the RHSB brass players! Belying the heat and the late finish on Saturday, we are heading straight over to the Congleton Bandstand this coming Sunday, July 26th.

As part of the popular Friends of Congleton Music in the Park summer season, we can't wait to play to the wonderful crowds soaking up the sunshine (🫰) from 14:30 this Sunday afternoon. Hope to see you there!
