What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning! Today, the Rode Hall Silver Band had the absolute pleasure of performing at the historic Hanley Park Bandstand as part of this year’s Heritage Open Days festival.
Set against the stunning backdrop of one of Stoke-on-Trent's finest restored Victorian parks and even more impressive bandstand, the band delivered a lively and varied programme of brass music to a wonderful crowd of park-goers and supporters. While the late-summer weather stayed fine, it was certainly a lively breeze—giving our stands and our sheet music a bit of an unexpected workout on more than one occasion! From the rousing Radetzky March to a crowd-pleasing rendition of Sweet Caroline, our eclectic mix of tunes went down a treat with the brilliant audience.

Following a busy summer concert programme, the band now returns to the rehearsal room for a few weeks to make preparations for supporting the Biddulph Remembrance Sunday parade. A massive thank you to everyone who came down to support our Heritage Open Day festivities and made it such a memorable event!
